Nova Scotia Rug Hooking SchoolThe Nova Scotia Rug Hooking School has been in operation for the past twenty-eight years. It has evolved, grown and become a successful and exciting event for rug hookers from far and wide. 2010 marks our 30th year. The spring session will be held at the Agricultural College in Truro, N.S. starting the first Sunday in May (May 2-7, 2010) and the fall session will be held the third week of September at the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre in Cornwallis, N.S. (September 12-17, 2010). The Nova Scotia Rug Hooking School offers a multitude of rug hooking disciplines as described in the course descriptions. We offer the teaching expertise of well known rug hooking instructors from Canada and the United States, offering students a wide range of perspective on our "art". Each school is organized by a team of volunteers who devote a great deal of time to ensure that you have the ultimate rug hooking experience. In addition to the classroom experience there may be mini workshops, a charity auction, show and tell, an unparalleled display, vendors from whom you may purchase that perfect piece of wool and just plain good old Maritime hospitality included in your week. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones who share your passion for rug hooking. In order to attend the Nova Scotia Rug Hooking School, you must be a member in good standing of the RHGNS. Join our Guild and apply to come to our rug hooking school (see Membership). It is an experience of a lifetime.
